Drip Café to Expand

The Hockessin hot spot is adding about 1,000 square feet this fall.

Drip Café—the hip, Hockessin coffee shop that boasts a fresh and local menu—is expanding. Owner Greg Vogeley announced the expansion by posting a photo to the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. “Look what you made us do,” a cheeky sign on the shop’s window reads. “Thank you, Hockessin. More of what you love coming Fall 2016.”

“We are taking a piece of the space next to us,” Vogeley says. “We will be adding on about 1,000 square feet.”

Drip Café celebrated its third anniversary on April 22, and Vogeley says the need for more space couldn’t have come at a better time. “The wait for breakfast every Saturday and Sunday is at least 20–30 minutes. This is a great opportunity to open up and add more space for private dining.”

Vogeley believes Drip Café has been such a hit in Hockessin because it has a little something for everyone, from brunch on the weekends to lunch during the week. “People have really latched onto the vibe here,” he says.
