Have you been dying to dine at any restaurants in downtown Newark? This Saturday, July 21, is the perfect day to try several all at once.
The 15th annual Newark Food & Brew Festival is back from noon until 7 p.m. The event pairs craft and imported beers with creative food offerings from 17 participating restaurants.
Home Grown Cafe, for example, will be offering a wedge salad ($4), fried chicken sandwich ($7) and seafood platter ($9) along with four different beers from Avery Brewing Company.
Mosey between eateries and sample as much—or as little—as you want. (Instead of buying a general-admission ticket, you pay as you go.) The first 3,000 guests will receive a commemorative five-ounce tasting mug, available at all participating restaurants as well as the information booths.
Participating restaurants include:
- Arena’s Deli & Bar
- Caffé Gelato
- Catherine Rooney’s
- Churrascaria Saudades
- Deer Park Tavern
- The Delaware Growler
- Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen
- Grotto Pizza
- Home Grown Cafe
- Iron Hill Brewery
- Klondike Kate’s Restaurant & Saloon
- Mediterranean Grille
- MOD Pizza
- Pachamama Chicken
- Stone Balloon Ale House
- Santa Fe Mexican Grill
