Light the romantic fire with your loved one with fine dining, delicious take-home dishes and more for Valentine’s Day in the First State.

Whether you’re canoodling with a significant other or celebrating with a platonic pal, don’t hold back on Valentine’s Day. Instead, unwrap a box of truffles, order a multicourse meal and sip pink bubbly with Cupid’s blessing. Here are some dining suggestions.

Lean into Romance

Several Delaware restaurants are still known more for romance than a fast-paced vibe. Consider Vincenza & Margherita (V&M) Bistro in Brandywine Hundred. The small restaurant is a labor of love for the Carrieri-Russo family, who reopened the dining room this year. On Valentine’s Day, the heart-shaped ravioli dish is a “fan favorite,” Vincenza Carrieri-Russo says. The bistro has also become known for chocolate-covered strawberries, heart-shaped cocoa bombs and Cakesicles (preorder). Make reservations.
