Ciao, ItaliaHarry’s Savoy Grill in North Wilmington is pulling out all the stops for its Tuscan Wine Dinner, so save the date: Aug. 18, 6:30 p.m. sharp. Dine in Harry’s beautiful courtyard. Chef Patrick D’Amico handles the food. Southern Wine and Spirits does the vino. The menu looks like this:Begin with zucchini flowers stuffed with fish mousse served with chive sauce and a glass of 2010 Terenzuola Vermentino. Move on to red snapper with herb gnocchi and prosciutto with 2008 Teruzzi & Puthod Rondolino Vernaccia di San Gimignano. The main course is an osso bucco of wild boar in natural juices with saffron-truffle risotto and dandelion greens paired with the 2006 Nozzole Chianti Classico Riserva, followed by a salad of petite greens with curls of Parmigianino, fried...

State of the UnionWho can keep up with chef Matthew Curtis and Union City Grille? Not only have they plotted a Jersey Boys/Temptations wine dinner for Aug. 17, they’ve revamped the lunch menu. First, the dinner: barbecue shrimp in bacon and garlic ciabatta with melted fontina and truffle honey to start, followed by Jersey corn chowder and peeky toe crab fritter, then Jersey tomato salad, with entrées cedar-plank salmon with grilled red onion, balsamic buerre blanc and pancetta-braised broccolini. Dessert: banana bread pudding with candied pecans and bourbon syrup. The wines are from Frank’s Union Street. The Dining Insider knows, but you’ll have to attend to find out. The Dining Insider: A Dining, Food and Restaurant Blog about Evening in the Garden for The Food Bank, Basque Wine and Cuisine at Tinto, Happy Hour at Harry’s Seafood Grill in Wilmington and Dinner Music at Béseme in Lewes

Eat for a CauseMark Aug. 11 on your calendar now. Evening in the Garden will feature tastings of wares from local wineries and breweries with foods made from the produce of the UD’s Garden for the Community on South College Avenue, all to benefit the Food Bank of Delaware. Paradocx Winery, Victory Brewing Company and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery join the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources in the effort. The Food Bank’s culinary team will serve shrimp and cucumber soup, a flame-broiled vegetable terrine, watermelon-feta salad, sweet corn and Chesapeake crab salad, Indian eggplant parmesan rolls, chimichurri chicken with fried okra, fresh triple berry trifle and more.
