Movies on Tap Donates Over $3,000 to Food Bank of Delaware

Plus, a Friday evening showing of “Beerfest.”

The Movies on Tap team recently visited Dew Point Brewery in Yorklyn to present a check for $3,150 to the Food Bank of Delaware as a result of the March Movies on Tap event. Movies on Tap screened the 1999 Mike Judge comedy “Office Space” and hosted Dew Point Brewing Co. for beer tastings prior to the movie at Penn Cinema Riverfront and IMAX. The recent donation to the Food Bank of Delaware will help create over 6,000 meals for local Delawareans in need.

Movies on Tap allows attendees to enjoy a unique opportunity to meet with a local brewer; sample and learn about their beer; and then watch a cult-classic film on the big screen—all for a good cause. The $20 price of admission includes beer samples, movie ticket, and popcorn, with 99 percent of the proceeds benefiting the brewer’s charity of choice.
