Thursday, March 24: The newest member of Delaware Today’s talented pool of writers happens to be one of the region’s foremost wine experts. Pretty handy, eh? Such clout also scores points with local restaurants. Case in point: the Roger Morris Wine Dinner this Thursday at Caffé Gelato in Newark.
The Caffé's Ryan German (no wine slouch himself) will welcome Morris with a six-course dinner. Morris will pair each course with a wine selection, and guests on hand will get to hang with the expert and talk shop.
Tickets for the event are $65 per person, with special question and answer session (that commences at 5:30 p.m.) beforehand running just a $10 donation to the Friendship House. The dinner starts at 7 p.m. Call 738-5811 for a reservation, or click here.

Sunday, March 27: The latest in a line of awesome Wilmington Industry Night parties happens again this Sunday at the one and only Chelsea Tavern.
This time, the monsters who brought us the Dirty Burger are teaming with chefs from Deep Blue and Krazy Kat’s.
Chelsea chef Sean McNeice, Deep Blue's Matt Crist, and KK's own Donny Merrill promise an evening of collaborative and complimentary appetizers, plus some great drink options. Here's their theme for the night: Last Meals of Famous Folks.
Wow. Delicious AND morbid. I'm there. Chelsea will also fire up Randall The Enamel Animal: the organoleptic hop transducer module invented by Dogfish Head's mad scientists.

New digs: Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, the Dan Marino-owned boutique chain, is opening its second Delaware location this week in Pike Creek.
The South Florida-based chain, which opened last year at Brandywine Town Center in Wilmington, is all about crispy, coal-oven baked pies, charred to perfection after a spin in a 800-degree oven. With its lively atmosphere and uptown toppings, Anthony's made a strong impact on Delaware as it continues its northbound expansion into the region.
